E-WEEK Photos

This photo was taken at the boys soccer game on Friday night during E-Week. The game was incredible. I realized how difficult it was to take movement photos during the night time. This was during a time when one of the players from the other team was hurt so the guys made a huddle.

This photo was taken at a bonfire at Sarah Mark's house on Sunday night. We burned some masks from prom decorations from last year that were still in the back of my car. I love this photo because the mask is half burned and it symbolizes how much work I put into planning prom but yet how grateful I was in burning them all!

This photo was also taken at the bonfire. I just love how cute it is. My favorite part is how they are all outlined by the darkness of night and it just makes them all stand out more.

Portrait Photos

This is a self-portrait. I got the inspiration from my own life. I was stressing over filling out college applications and how frustrating it is that you must have achieved a certain level to get into certain colleges and even though they say they are welcoming to everyone you still have to be perfect to get noticed. So I took that frustration and created this photo. I edited it quite a bit but that is what I love about it. This photo represents how I feel about my life right now. I love it.

Another portrait. This photo is so precious. I took this two summers ago when I was a nanny. His name is Nathaniel. He was the youngest of the group of boys that I watched. The older boys were being mean to him and so he decided to play by himself on the swing. I love the intensity of his facial expression in the photo. The black and white effect just adds to it.

I hope you enjoy my portraits! :)

Journey

I chose this as my journey photo because I love how this verse embodies my life, or anyone's life for that matter. This bible verse is Ecclesiastes 3:1-8. Whenever I read this verse it reminds me that no matter what struggles I may go through God has everything under control and he has a time for it all. I like to find comfort in that fact. So that is why this photo represents my journey through life. It has been full of ups and downs but God reminds me that it is all under His control and under His time line.

2 Favorite Photos...so far

Photo 1) I love the movement in this photo. I took it on a car ride home during the night. I think the fuzziness gives it a good texture. I think I would work on the lighting possibly to not make it so divided with light and dark.

Photo 2) I LOVE this photo. I edited it a lot but I still like the original. I like the angle of the photo and the highlights and darks. I would possibly change the amount of sky in the photo and get more texture within the sky with clouds or something of that sort.

Hope you enjoy them...I sure do!
